SymmetricalThis painting was done by a famous american painter named Bob Norman Ross. The tone of the artwork was smooth and similar throughout, resulting in a spatially static attribute. In addition, the values of the colors are calm and complimented eachother.

AsymmetricalI love every painting done by Edward Degas, along with this one. It is a great example of an asymmetrical piece, because not only are the girls not balanced, but also the texture of the strokes are different throughout. From this, it results in the attributes of being emotionally active along with esthetically dynamic.
